A policy of handling personal information

1. Overview
HQ is a company that makes good games that provide interesting and entertaining entertainment experiences for anyone to enjoy. HQ respects the personal information of anyone who frequently uses the HQ's games, websites, and all related services (the "Services") that we provide to users. In this document, Ace Edu Co. Ltd. is referred to as "Ace Edu" or "Headquarters" and users are referred to as "users."

This "Personal Information Processing Policy" describes how the headquarters collects, processes, and stores personal information belonging to the user, such as the user's name, address, or email address. Such information is referred to as "personal information" or "information" in this policy.

When accessing or using the HQ's services, the user agrees to collect, process, store, and share the user's personal information in the manner prescribed by this Personal Information Processing Policy. If the user provides the information to the HQ or is concerned that the information is used in the manner permitted by this Privacy Policy, the user shall not use the HQ's services. As stipulated in the terms and conditions of use related to the HQ's services, the HQ's services are not intended for children under the age of 14. Users must be at least 14 years old in order to access and use the HQ's services. The HQ deliberately does not collect personal information from children under the age of 14.

The headquarters is a company called Ace Edu Co. Ltd. The headquarters is registered in Korea. The registered address of the headquarters is 11F, 234 CRC, Sinheung-ro, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.

3. Information and methods of collecting information that the headquarters collects about users
Collecting and processing personal information items

The headquarters may collect and process the following information about users.

(A) required item
Personal information provided to HQ in a form that is provided by the user when he/she uses HQ's services or opens an account at HQ, such as the user's email address, name, age, location or gender, etc
Details of the user's use of HQ services and resources accessed by the user, such as the country of the user's location, when the user plays the HQ game or visits the HQ website, or information about the devices used by the user to access HQ services
If the user contacts the head office or responds to the message and delivery sent by the head office to the user, the head office may record the corresponding communication
User communication with HQ on HQ's social media channels
And, as detailed below, information that the headquarters collects through cookies and other similar technologies.


(B) Selections:
If the user permits the head office to communicate with the third-party social network, the head office may collect and process personal information about the user provided to the head office by the social network, such as the name and ID used by the user, the user's email address, profile photo, and contact list
An advertisement identifier of a user authorized to be used by the user described below.


Advertising Identifier

We advertise our services on mobile devices. Advertising identifiers are non-permanent and non-personal device identifiers, such as Android advertising ID, Apple's advertising ID, or IDFA. When HQ advertises its services on mobile devices, HQ may use the advertising identifiers and other information associated with users' devices to help HQ deliver advertisements related to their interests and improve and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and the information may be owned by HQ itself or provided by HQ's advertising network partners. By changing the device settings, users can block the advertisement identifiers on their devices from being used for interest-based advertisements, or reset the advertisement identifiers on their devices. These settings vary from device to device, but if you use an Apple device running iOS 7, you can check the Advertising Identifier settings in the Settings > Privacy > Advertising category, and if you use a Google Android device running Android 2.3 or a subsequent version, you can check the Advertising Identifier settings in the Settings > Google > Advertising category.

Payment information

When a user purchases a service from the head office's website, the head office may collect certain payment information from the user for the payment service provider, but this information is temporarily kept in a way that the head office cannot read. If a user purchases a product through an app at the head office (i.e., one that the user can purchase from the App Store or Google Play), the head office does not collect or keep any payment information from the user.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Advertising identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies are used to provide headquarters services to users and collect information from user devices. The technology allows headquarters and third-party advertising partners to do the following.
Approve users and their devices.
It provides interest-based advertising to users.
Headquarters services allow you to communicate with third-party social networks or platforms (the media you choose for communication).
You can understand how to communicate with our website (such as where we use cookies such as Google Analytics cookies on our website).
The payment processing agency at the headquarters allows users to process payments.
Headquarters and third parties can provide more customized services to users (such as providing headquarters services in the user's native language).

5. Purpose of User's Personal Information Processing
The headquarters uses the user's personal information for the following purposes.

To contact the user as part of the customer service, or to send an update regarding the head office service to the user or to send a push notification to the user if the user agrees to receive the notification from the head office
To manage the user's account and the relationship between the user and the head office, and to improve the user's experience when the user uses the head office service
To investigate (including sending emails) by sending communications to users, conduct surveys, or interact with users
To market or promote HQ services or related products for HQ or a third party by sending mail to users (including sending emails). HQ may also send information about products related to HQ services to users. If HQ does not wish to use your information in this way, please contact kpop-english@naver.com and inform HQ.
To create reports, analyses, or similar services to be used for research or business information, such as tracking potential problems or trends in headquarters services
To prevent deception, crime, or fraud
Or, in accordance with the explicit provisions of this personal information processing policy or as required by law.

6. Entrustment of provision and processing of user's personal information to a third party
The head office will share the user's information with a third party (e.g., a group affiliated company or supplier of the head office in the following cases only.

If the consent of the user is obtained (including if the consent is obtained as prescribed in this personal information processing policy)
When it is reasonably necessary to provide services to users (e.g., providing users' personal information to suppliers used by headquarters to implement services or contact users)
If necessary to carry out the user's processing (e.g., if the head office must provide the user's personal information to the head office's payment processing agency in order to process the payment)
When the identity of the user cannot be personally identified from that information, that is, when the user's information is used as anonymous statistical information
If users provide information as part of the competition or to communicate with the HQ's social media channels (for example, if they provide recommendations about HQ services), HQ may post the information submitted by the user along with the user's name and country of origin on the HQ's website and social media channels.
When the headquarters reasonably believes that it is acceptable by law or regulation
To comply with legal obligations, to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of use of the headquarters or other contracts concluded with users, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the headquarters, users of the headquarters or others, such as forwarding the user's information to an anti-fraud agency or other organization responsible for crime or fraud prevention
In the event of the sale of assets or corporate restructuring, in the event of a change in control of the headquarters or any of the group's affiliates, or in preparation for such a case. A third party to which the headquarters transfers or sells assets of the headquarters shall have the right to continue to use the personal information and other information provided by the user to the headquarters in the manner prescribed in this personal information processing policy. Except in such cases, the headquarters shall not sell or lend the user's information to a third party.

8. Communication with third-party social networks or platforms
Users can allow HQ services to communicate with third-party social networks or platforms, and they will provide information about users to HQ. These applications or websites are not part of HQ, they are not managed by HQ, they are created, maintained, and managed by third parties. Users should make sure to read their terms of service and privacy policy in order to understand how they handle users' information and what information they share with HQ.

Users understand that if a user's account opened at the headquarters allows communication with a third-party social network or platform, information about the user's game progress and play may be disclosed to the user's contacts (including the opposite case). This information includes the user's name, social media profile picture, and the user's HQ game score or progress.

Users can stop communicating with HQ services by changing the information that third-party social networks or platforms can share with HQ, or adjusting user settings for third-party service providers, but they may not be able to take advantage of all the same features of HQ services.

 

9. The period of use and retention of the user's personal information, procedures and methods of destruction
The headquarters will store the user's personal information if necessary to achieve the purpose of collecting the user's information (as prescribed in Article 4) or for the period necessary to provide the service to the user, and destroy it thereafter. If the personal information is written on paper, the personal information will be destroyed by shredding the paper document, and if it is stored in the form of an electronic file, the record will be destroyed by technical means to prevent it from being reproduced.

The headquarters may retain the user's personal information even after the user closes the user's account opened at the headquarters or stops providing services to the user if it is reasonably necessary to retain the user's personal information for the following purposes.

In order to comply with the legal obligations of the headquarters
in order to meet the statutory requirements
To settle disputes between members
To prevent fraud, deception, or abuse of rights
Alternatively, to execute this personal information processing policy or other contracts concluded by the headquarters with the user.


For example, even if the headquarters may retain the user's personal information for up to five years in order to comply with the E-Commerce Act, the headquarters may decide to retain the user's personal information for longer than this period to facilitate the achievement of the other objectives listed above.

10. Measures to ensure the safety of users' personal information
The security of users' personal information is also very important to the HQ. The HQ maintains appropriate technical and physical safety measures to protect users' personal information from accidents, illegal destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, access, use, and all other illegal forms of processing. The HQ uses the same level of technology that other similar game developers take in protecting users' personal information. However, because the Internet is not a completely safe environment, the HQ cannot guarantee that the information you send through HQ's games will not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed in violation of HQ's safety measures.

11. How to contact the headquarters
The headquarters may provide links to third-party websites to services provided by the headquarters. Users understand that if a user clicks on these links, the third party's personal information processing policy will apply to the information provided by the user thereafter, not the headquarters' personal information processing policy. Although the headquarters will try to establish links only for prestigious websites, the headquarters shall not take any responsibility for the content, safety, or security of third-party websites.

12. User's rights regarding personal information
The user may withdraw the user's consent provided for collection/use of personal information or external entrustment at any time.
Users may request the provision of an inspection or report on the following: (i) the information held by the HQ regarding the users, (ii) the status of the use of personal information and external entrustment, etc., and (iii) the status of providing consent for such use, external entrustment, etc. If you wish to request an inspection or such a report, please contact the HQ at the e-mail address stipulated in Article 11 below. The HQ may charge a small fee for such a request.
We want to make sure that users' personal information is accurate and up-to-date. If certain information is incorrect, users may contact the headquarters at the email address specified in Article 11 below and request the headquarters to change, correct, or delete the inaccurate information.
The information shared by the user through the HQ's services on the social network or third-party platform cannot be changed or deleted by the HQ if it is managed by that social network or third-party platform. Additionally, if the information provided by the user through the use of the HQ service is copied by a third party (for example, a friend of the user on the social network that allows the user to communicate with the user's account), the HQ may not be able to change or delete the information because it is not under the HQ's control.
Users can request the headquarters not to use the user's personal information for marketing purposes. To change the user's marketing preferences or refuse to receive them, please contact the headquarters at the e-mail address specified in Article 11 below.

If there is a problem, the user also has the right to challenge the local information protection authorities.

15. a legal matter
Other terms of this Privacy Policy shall not be affected if the Court or any other competent authority determines that any terms of this Privacy Policy are invalid or unenforceable.

This Privacy Policy is governed and interpreted by Korean law. For any dispute arising in connection with this Privacy Policy, the exclusive jurisdiction of the Korean courts will apply unless the user chooses the court of the user's home country.
